Historical context: Thirty Years' War

I felt the need for a bit of a reference-filled comic. So here you go. I hope at the very least the Swedes will enjoy it. You bastards.

Also, the flag used for the Mongolian Empire is based on their Spirit Banners.

Fasces: Swedish patriotism was very high during the 1600s - 1800s. First of all, a Swedish author published a book claiming that Sweden was Atlantis. Then, the whole era when Sweden was a power in Europe (1600s - 1718) was potrayed as THE BEST TIME EVER by textbooks etc. And then we have the whole "descendants of the Vikings, oh we're so proud" thing of the 1800s...
