Ah, the evolution of warfare. So little has changed, yet so much.

There are three 'nations' in this comic that are represented by symbols I have found in Paradox Interactive's games, Europa Universalis III and Europa Universalis: Rome. The reason for this is due to the fact that these 'nations' didn't have flags or banners common to other countries.

They did have symbols however, and I assume that these symbols in these games have had a hefty research, so I am confident they are good enough. In case you are wondering, Rome defeats Gaul, while Carthage blocks his move. Further down, it is the Aztecs that Spain meets.

Some other notes; some would probably notice that Spain has a counterpart in 'India' that has a similar looking flag. This is because I wanted to get Netherlands in on it (as they were a significant coloniser), but at the time they were part of Spain. Crazy, I know. Also I shoved in Russia, because I accidentally drew an additional guy.
