Well, Finns seems to be pretty harsh when you accuse their coat of arms for looking like a lion stabbing itself, instead they say it is ready for war. But whatever.
Also, yes, the French did use a white flag from 1816 to 1830 during the Bourbon Restoration, because the Tricolore reminded them too much of regicide.
